The history

On January 1, 1945, Jan van Hassel, founder of Habe furniture factory, began production include wooden toys and lamp fixtures. Shortly after the second world war there was nothing and looked with foresight to the new time.

Lamp caps were through newspaper boxes and other small furniture, soon replaced by coffee tables. 

Good luck Habe had in the sixties with the first series of TV furniture that came on the market in the Netherlands. In 1963 began trading seats from ITALY ;. Habe been importer and do the trading was habe Furniture BV established. In the eighties, the company experienced a boom and moved because of lack of space the trading activities to a warehouse building elsewhere in the city. Further expansion of the range among other things, made sure that even this property (despite several extensions) soon became too cramped housing. When moved into the current premises in Breda, in 1989, a logistics center there was put into operation which completely met the needs and requirements which Habe furniture already suggested to the various products they imported some time from Belgium, France, Spain , Italy, Romania and Indonesia.

The production of projects now takes place mainly outside the Netherlands and hence the furniture Habe become part of the trading company. Due to the already long experience in importing region is possible to every stage of production, from design to delivery, should be carefully monitored. In collaboration with a dedicated design, styling and logistics team, Habe furniture now develops its collections, which focus on the Benelux market. Main markets at the moment are: the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, France and Germany.
